Boeklancering Verwachtingsvol haken - Book launch 9 Months to crochet

Hoi allemaal, hi everyone!
 
Gisteren was ik in Den Bosch voor de boeklancering van Verwachtingsvol haken van Maaike van Koert in de winkel van Moeders Mooiste. Wat een leuke dag, en zoveel leuke mensen ontmoet!
 
Yesterday I went to 's Hertogenbosch for the book launch of the Dutch translation of 9 Months to crochet by Maaike van Koert in the shop Moeders Mooiste. What a lovely day, and I met so many nice people!
 
  
 
 
Aangezien ik veel mensen van Instagram kende maar nog nooit in het echt had ontmoet, vond ik het een leuk idee om iedereen een klein cadeautje te geven. Dus eergisteravond, toen het zo onmogelijk heet was haha, maakte ik 20 lavendel theezakjes, zoals in mijn tutorial aan het begin van deze maand: http://bitesandbeads.blogspot.nl/2017/05/lavendel-theezakjes-lavender-teabags.html
 
Since I was meeting a lot of people that I knew from Instagram, but had never seen in real life, I thought it would be a nice gesture to give everybody a little present.

 Voor Maaike wilde ik natuurlijk iets extra's doen, dus haakte ik in de trein een klein bloemetje.
 
I wanted to do something extra for Maaike obviously, so I crocheted a little flower while travelling by train.
 
 
 
 
Ik had nog wat tijd over voor het feestje begon, dus ik trakteerde mezelf op een overheerlijke hazelnoot koffie, en haakte het bloemetje af.
 
I had some time left before the party started, so I treated myself to a yummie hazelnut coffee, and finished the flower in the meantime. 
 
 
 
 
 Dat maakt zo'n cadeauverpakking helemaal af vind je niet?
 
It looks so much better don't you think? 
 
 
 
 
 Ja, dat dacht ik ook haha! Wauw!! Thee uit het prachtige servies van Bunzlau Castle (wil ik ook!!) en dan een echte Bossche bol erbij! Maar goed dat ik dit niet elke dag als ontbijt krijg...
 
Yes, exactly! Wow!! Tea in this gorgeous Bunzlau Castle tea set (I want!!), and this huge local chocolate and cream treat! I'm glad I don't have this for breakfast everyday...
 
 
 
 
 Maaike had bijna alle projecten uit het boek meegenomen, het vlaggenlijntje, babykleertjes, slofjes, dekens, en alles was even mooi en inspiratievol.
 
Almost every project of the book was there, the little garland, baby clothes, baby booties, blankets, and it all looks lovely and inspirational.
 
  
 
Hoe vind je deze schaapjes dan, zo schattig!

 Er stond een prachtige bos bloemen op tafel, die ik ook wel op de mijne wil hebben...
 
Beautiful flowers, sure wouldn't mind them on my table... 
 
 
 
En de kleertjes zijn natuurlijk ook geschikt voor een pop...
 
And the clothes can be worn by a doll too of course.

We kregen allemaal het boek cadeau, met nog andere leuke dingen erbij, en wol om wat projecten uit het boek te kunnen maken. En ik ben om! Ik had eerlijk gezegd nooit gehoord van Durable Yarn tot een paar weken geleden, en dat is echt raar, want het haakt heerlijk!
 
We all got the book as a present, with lots of other goodies, and yarn to crochet some projects out of the book. 
 And I'm hooked on this yarn already. To be honest I had never heard of Durable Yarn until a couple of weeks ago, which is really weird, because it's absolutely great!
 
 
 
 
 Als je haakervaring hebt zijn ze klaar in een uur!
 
If you are an experienced crocheter, they could be finished in an hour!

Kleine Halve Glitter Kerstbal - Little Half Glitter Bauble

  For English scroll down please! :-)   Yesss, ik heb wel weer een leuke tutorial voor jullie denk ik! Ik vind de gehaakte kerstballen van Claire Boeter zo onwijs leuk, het idee bleef maar in mijn hoofd hangen. En toen ik het Creative Bubble garen van Rico Design in handen had, wist ik het!   Wat heb je nodig? - Restjes wol of katoen voor haaknaald 3 of 4 mm ; glitterwol of -katoen; Rico Creative Bubble - Haaknaald 3 mm en een schaartje - Als je een craft hoarder bent zoals ik hahaha: een bovenkantje van een oude kerstbal en een stompe rijgnaald   Ik vind het zelf het leukst om de binnenkant met 1 matte kleur en 1 glitterkleur te doen en de buitenkant met Bubble, maar de mogelijkheden zijn natuurlijk eindeloos! En ik haak in een enkele magische ring, maar een dubbele of een ring van 4 lossen kan uiteraard ook. Onderaan mijn blog vind het schema!     De binnenkant: 1* Haak 6 clusters van 3 stokjes in een magis...

Crocheted Tartan Plant Pot Cover - Gehaakte Geruite Plantenpothoes

A couple of years ago I made this tutorial for byClaire & Friends.  It seemed the link didn't work anymore, and I wanted to translate it into English anyway, so here is the revised version. I hope you like it! If you would like the Dutch version, you can find it here: https://byclaire.eu/byclaire-friends-2 . This tutorial is for a pot with a diameter of 23 cm and hight 21 cm, but you can adjust it to a different size. If you want to make a swatch: crochet 1 square with 2 stripes on one side and at the top. Now you can measure how many you need for your pot, and maybe use a different size hook if you want smaller or bigger squares, or when you're using a different size yarn. For some more tips, please scroll down to the remarks underneath the pattern. What do you need: I used hook size 6 (and size 3 for hiding the ends), 2 balls of byClaire Softmix for the main colour, 1 ball of Softmix as the secondary colour and 1 ball of byClaire Sparkle. Train Track Join

Het heeft even geduurd, maar hier is dan de beschrijving hoe je vierkantjes aan elkaar kunt haken met de Train Track Join. Op Instagram heb ik een poll gehouden over de naam, en deze kwam als winnaar uit de bus, waarschijnlijk omdat het echt een beetje lijkt op spoorrails. En het klinkt wel lekker eigenwijs, toch? Je kunt deze manier op verschillende manieren toepassen. Afhankelijk van hoeveel vasten je tussendoor haakt en hoe groot je de lusjes maakt, worden de 'rails' oftewel de ruimtes ertussen groter of kleiner.  It took a while, but here is how you join granny squares with the Train Track Join. On Instagram I did a poll on the name, and this was the most popular one, probably because it resembles it so much. And it sounds a bit crazy too doesn't it haha. You can use this join in several ways. It depends on how many single crochets you use in between and how big you make the loops, that makes the spaces in between smaller or bigger. Laten we ...
