As promised, the translation for the tiny
Amigurumi Christmas Baubles
that go well together with the Granny Christmas Tree that I designed for byClaire&Friends, see my last post.
I made the baubles with byClaire Cotton and Sparkle. The design is in cooperation with byClaire and only intended for personal use, and not commercially.

What do you need:
- crochet hook size 3
- scissors
Used abbreviations (U.S.):
slst = slip stitch
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
Start with a magic ring.
In the ring you make 6 clusters* of 3 dc, followed by a ch. End with a slst in the top of the first cluster. Fasten off.
The outside is crocheted with byClaire Sparkle.
Start with 12 dc in a magic circle (the 1st dc = ch 3), slst in the 1st dc, ch 1.
Put the 2 backsides together and attach them to each other by crocheting sc. One sc in every stitch of the 2 halves together:
Crochet in the whole stitch of the Sparkle side (the back side), plus in the back loop of the Cotton (front side).
After about 7 stitches you push the ends in between the 2 halves.**
Fasten off with a slst in the next stitch and cut at appr. 10 cm. You sew the bauble to the tree with this end.
Push the front inwards if you haven't done this already.
*How do you make a cluster:
It's really just 3 dc that you don't finish completely.
So: yarn over, put your hook in the ring and yarn over again, pull your hook through the first 2 loops on your hook.
~Yarn over, put your hook in the ring, yarn over, pull your hook through the first 2 loops on your hook (so now you have 3 loops on your hook)~.
Repeat ~...~ one more time so you have 4 loops on your hook and then you pull the thread through all 4 loops at once.
N.b. The first dc of the first cluster consists of 2 chains, followed by 2 half-finished dc, and therefore you only pull through 3 loops at once at the end.
** I crochet with Clover Amour hooks, and the back side of it is perfect for pushing in the ends. You could also use a chopstick for example.
