Kuiken Eierwarmer - Baby Chicken Egg Cosy

Op de valreep een leuk patroontje voor het Paasontbijt!

Begin met het kopje van het kuiken:
Ik gebruikte dat leuke geel van Creative Bubble van Rico Design met haaknaald 3,75.
Haak 5 v in een magische cirkel, sluit met een hv (5).
Haak 2 v in elke v (10).
Haak 5 keer (1 v, 1 v, 2 v), (15).
Haak 1 v in elke v (15).
 Minder 5 keer (1 v, 1 samengehaakte v*), (10), en vul het hoofdje.
Minder nog 5 keer door steeds 2 steken samen te haken (5).
Haak nog 2 samengehaakte steken om het hoofdje af te werken, en knip de draad af op ongeveer 20 cm. Hiermee naai je straks het kopje vast.

* Haak 1 v zonder af te maken, dus hou de lus op je naald, en haak dan de volgende v. Haal de draad in 1 keer door alle lussen. Op deze manier krijg je geen grote gaten in je werk.

A really cute little baby chook egg cosy, just in time for Easter breakfast!

Start with the baby chicken's head:
I used that lovely bright yellow yarn Creative Bubble from Rico Design.
Crochet 5 sc in a magic circle, close with a sl.st. (5).
Crochet 2 sc in every stitch, close with a sl.st. (10).
Crochet 5 times (1 sc, 2 sc), (15).
Crochet 1 sc in every stitch (15).
Crochet 5 times (1 sc, next 2 sc together*), (10).
Crochet 5 times 2 sc together (5).
Crochet another 2 sc together to finish the head, cut the thread at a length of appr. 20 cm. You'll use this to sew the head on the body later on.

*Crochet a sc without finishing it, and crochet a sc in the next stitch. Pull the thread through all loops at once. This way you won't get any big holes in your work.

 
Dan het lijfje.
Haak 5 v in een magische ring ( of maak een ring van 4 l), en sluit met een hv.
Haak 2 v in elke v (10).
Haak 5 keer (1 v, 2 v), (15).
Haak 5 keer (1 v, 1 v, 2 v), (20).
Haak 5 keer (1 v, 1 v, 1 v, 2 v), (25).
Haak de volgende 6 toeren 1 v in elke steek (25).
Hecht af, en bevestig het kopje op het lijf.

Then the body.

Crochet 5 sc in a magic circle (or form a ring of 4 chains), close with a sl.st. (5).
Crochet 2 sc in every stitch, close with a sl.st. (10).
Crochet 5 times (1 sc, 2 sc), (15).
Crochet 5 times (1 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc), (20).
Crochet 5 times (1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc), (25).
Crochet 1 sc in every stitch for the next 6 rounds (25).
Finish off and attach the head.

Natuurlijk heeft 'ie ook een snaveltje, dat ik haakte met wat oranje katoen dat ik nog had liggen. Ik gebruikte haaknaald 2,5.
Haak 4 l, sl de 1e over en haak 1 v in de vlgd 3 lossen. Knip weer af met een langer uiteinde, want hiermee bevestig je het snaveltje aan het kopje.
Ik naaide er 2 kleine zwarte kraaltjes op als oogjes.

Of course a chicken needs a beak. I used regular orange cotton which I had lying around, and hook size 2,5.
Crochet 4 chains, skip one and then 1 sc in the next 3 stitches. Leave a long tail to attach it to the head. I sewed on two little black beads as eyes.

 

Eigenwijs maar schattig! Fijne Pasen allemaal!

Ik vind de gehaakte kerstballen van Claire Boeter zo onwijs leuk, het idee bleef maar in mijn hoofd hangen. En toen ik het Creative Bubble garen van Rico Design in handen had, wist ik het!   Wat heb je nodig? - Restjes wol of katoen voor haaknaald 3 of 4 mm ; glitterwol of -katoen; Rico Creative Bubble - Haaknaald 3 mm en een schaartje - Als je een craft hoarder bent zoals ik hahaha: een bovenkantje van een oude kerstbal en een stompe rijgnaald   Ik vind het zelf het leukst om de binnenkant met 1 matte kleur en 1 glitterkleur te doen en de buitenkant met Bubble, maar de mogelijkheden zijn natuurlijk eindeloos! En ik haak in een enkele magische ring, maar een dubbele of een ring van 4 lossen kan uiteraard ook. Onderaan mijn blog vind het schema!     De binnenkant: 1* Haak 6 clusters van 3 stokjes in een magis...

Crocheted Tartan Plant Pot Cover - Gehaakte Geruite Plantenpothoes

A couple of years ago I made this tutorial for byClaire & Friends.  It seemed the link didn't work anymore, and I wanted to translate it into English anyway, so here is the revised version. This tutorial is for a pot with a diameter of 23 cm and hight 21 cm, but you can adjust it to a different size. If you want to make a swatch: crochet 1 square with 2 stripes on one side and at the top. Now you can measure how many you need for your pot, and maybe use a different size hook if you want smaller or bigger squares, or when you're using a different size yarn. What do you need: I used hook size 6 (and size 3 for hiding the ends), 2 balls of byClaire Softmix for the main colour, 1 ball of Softmix as the secondary colour and 1 ball of byClaire Sparkle. Noppensteek zonder doorschijn - Bobble Stitch with no visible contrasting colours

 Hoi allemaal, ik heb denk ik weer een leuke tutorial voor jullie. Als je de noppensteek haakt, neem je voor het gemak de draad mee in de tussenliggende steken. Het is wat meer werk om het op mijn manier te doen, maar het voordeel is dat je geen doorschijnende kleuren ziet op een lichte ondergrond (zie de foto hieronder), maar vooral dat je allerlei verschillende kleuren noppen kunt maken!
